Copy Head Quarters, Middle Department, 8th Army Corps,
Baltimore, July 10th 1864.
Anthony Armstrong (colored), is hereby authorized to raise a company of Colored militia for the defense of this City—
As soon as the organization is completed, the Company will report at these Head quarters, when orders will be issued to furnish them with all necessary equipments— The Company will be ordered to Report to Brig. Gen. Lockwood at No 36 North Street. By Command of Maj. Gen. Wallace
